2 Day Single Handed Care Management

£150 per person + VAT

Rising demands for care services, limited budgets and care staff shortages, are all challenges faced by care providers; delays in transferring patients from hospital back into the community mean valuable hospital beds places are unnecessarily ‘blocked’.

Carefully monitored Single Handed Care (SHC), strategies can have a significant positive impact upon care provision, addressing many of these care provision issues, whilst improving dignity for the patient/service user.

The course is suitable for any health and social care professional with responsibility for care planning and where people handling transfers are involved.

Course Outline

Delegates will have the opportunity to see how SHC can reduce costs, improve service delivery and to work through practical SHC moving and handling techniques.

This 2 day SHC Management course looks at how:

  • Substantial financial savings can be made
  • Care services can be allocated far more effectively
  • SHC works on a practical level, using proven moving and handling techniques
  • The dignity of the patient/service user can be greatly improved.

Certification last for 3 years.
