½ Day Basic First Aid Course
This fun, interactive hands-on 3 hour course covers all the essentials of basic first aid.
Delegates will have the opportunity to learn Life-Saving Skills and put them into practice using our resuscitation manikins and by placing one another in the recovery position.
There will also be practical activities with slings and bandages, the ‘choking vest’ and how to correctly use a defibrillator.

Course Outline
The course covers the following:
- Effective first aid management and the role of the First Aider
- The unconscious person
- How to perform Basic Life Support (CPR)
- The recovery position
- Correct use of a Defibrillator
- Heart attack
- Stroke
- Choking
- Fractures, sprains and strains
- Cuts and bruises
- Burns
- Diabetes and seizures
- Impalement injuries
Certification lasts for 1 years / It is recommended that this course be repeated on an annual basis/bi-annual basis
Please note: if anyone cannot kneel on the floor to practice Basic Life Support techniques or the recovery position, alternative options are available.
